Each checklist turns a single NEC3 clause into the concrete steps the responsible party must take — what to include, when to act, and what to keep on file. Start with the Clause 31 programme submission below.
Clause 31
Responsible: Contractor (submitting to the Project Manager)
No programme is identified in Contract Data part two, OR a new first programme is required.
Within the period stated in Contract Data part one for submission of a first programme after the Contract Date (clause 31.1).
If a first programme is not submitted, one quarter of the Price for Work Done to Date is retained in assessments until it is submitted (clause 50.3).
Every programme submitted for acceptance must clearly show the contractual dates and the planned dates derived from them.
Demonstrate how the works will be sequenced and how third parties interface with the programme.
The programme must be realistic — including time risk allowances and the contract's own procedures.
Each operation needs a statement of how the work will be done — not just when.
Get the programme in on time and address common reasons for non-acceptance up front.
